Dear readers and hopefully participants at the next 'Rigshospitalet European Paediatric Perfusion Course', Copenhagen , Dk, 27 th -28 th of November 2008.
The topics of this year meeting will include:
-Blood free primes,
-NIRS,
-GUCH patients,
-Normothermic bypass versus cold bypass,
-Platlet gel therapy,
-Endotoxin filtration during CPB.
Anyone interested to present a paper related to above topics, has to send an abstract to the e-mail address below. All presentations must be related to congenital surgery. The length of your presentation must not be longer than 15 minutes. The deadline for receiving your abstract is 30 th of July. Papers that will be chosen for the final program will be announced by the 30 th of August.
More details about our course (location, participation fee, accommodation and more) will be announced within a short period.

- Interested in an upgrade to
Master in Cardiovascular Technology?
The Scandinavian School of Cardiovascular Technology and The Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Aarhus are preparing a master-upgrade program in cardiovascular technology for perfusionist graduated from a school accredited by the The European Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
We suggest a two weeks course in medical research covering theory of science, research methodology, ethics, planning of experiments, biostatistics, search for literature, abstract and posters, publication techniques and oral presentation techniques.
This
course will take place at Aarhus University Hospital , Skejby Sygehus,
from May 21 st to June 1 st , 2007
After that a Master’s thesis has to be performed in the fall semester of 2007 with oral defence in December.
The tuition fee will be DKK 24.000,- which includes books and teaching material but not room and board.
The suggested upgrade program is not yet approved by The Ministry of Science, but if you are interested in joining the program please send an e-mail to secretary Annette Strandbo Jensen: Annette.strandbo@ki.au.dk before April 1 st , 2007.
